Summary: I went on the tour with my 2 daughters and 2 young granddaughters. Santiago walked us around the plantation and showed us everything about the coffee process. From starting the plants from seeds all the way through harvest. Santiago was incredibly knowledgeable about all things coffee and was happy to answer any questions I had. And I had a LOT of them :) He was very patient with my granddaughters as they had several questions of their own to ask. On our walk around the plantation, he told us about his family's history (multi-generational on the plantation!) and his grandmother's love of anything to do with flowers. As we were walking along, he pointed out at least 50 different types of flowering plants that were just amazing and beautiful. At the beginning of the tour, Santiago made us small cups of coffee. At the end of the tour he showed us the roasting process, ground the beans and brewed more coffee for us. Even my 5 and 7 year old granddaughters drank some!! There are only 5 options for rating this tour... I would give it a 10 if I could. I HIGHLY recommend tour. Muchas gracias, Santiago, para una experiencia memorable que nunca olvidare!!

Summary: Santiago was a fantastic guide and knowledgeable as he explained both the process of coffee growing and the history of the farm. One of the most educational and interactive tours I’ve had anywhere. Highly recommend the trip to Alturá!

Summary: We wanted to know about coffee culture and we found ourselves on a tour not only of coffee, but of nature, flowers, fruits... Finally we met the coffee process from the plant, the harvest, its transformation and subsequent toast, to have an excellent coffee. Thank you to Juan David for all his explanations and great knowledge; really the time passed very quickly including the excellent tour and special lunch that we could taste. If you want to know the coffee process and make a good tasting you should go on the high altitude coffee tour.
